INFORMATION ABOUT F80 FDNY EXAMS


The F-80 test will be given on a computer display with a “touch screen” and 50 multiple-choice questions. The exam has a time limit. You will have seventy-five minutes to finish the test, depending on how many questions there are. A Certificate of Fitness can only be obtained with a passing score of at least 70%.

The Certificate of Fitness exam consists of multiple-choice questions with four possible responses for each question. For every question, there is only one most accurate response.

Your response will be marked as wrong if you mark more than one alternative or choose not to answer at all. Before marking your response, carefully read each question. Guessing carries no penalty. The test will be administered to you on a computer monitor with a touch screen.
